...this book roused and spoke to my emotions, and provoked thoughts on my own part about what I thought and felt, and where I was. In these books, one really sees the character’s lives and feelings, and almost lives with them, day to day, but that does not distract from my feelings and thoughts about the situations and choices, and what those situations and choices provoke in me. If anything, they bring it out, and this one provoked a lot of deep thought...

After two careers as a research scientist and an educator, Marian decided it was time to do what she'd always really wanted, and be a writer.
