AJ Fitzwater's journey, a new extra

There's a new addition to Cinrak's crew. Author AJ Fitzwater has penned a new extra, a very personal essay, describing their journey.

How To Find Yourself When You’re Not There is a very open and insightful essay by the author of The Voyages of Cinrak the Dapper, AJ Fitzwater.

Included as a brand new exclusive extra with every copy of the special edition ebook, they discuss growing up with science-fiction and fantasy, finding solace perhaps, but seeking representation.

"For almost two decades I moved from one SFF book to another. In retrospect, I didn’t realize I was searching, I thought I just wanted a good story."

And discovering what they had to do to write themselves into being:

"Words are what I’ve got. Words are what I have to give. Words are what I am."

And how that eventually, sometimes painfully, led to writing Cinrak:

"What did I like to read? SFF. So why not try writing that whispered the little voice from deep inside my chaos."

A moving piece that shines a light on AJ's experiences, their inspirations, their journey. And how they began:

"retelling our pasts with joy"
